TEAM
At Haltepunkt, we strive to be more than just a team—
we see ourselves as short-term companions
on the journey!
We are united by the belief that every disciple of Jesus needs a place of rest and renewal.
From this deep conviction, we created this house to offer those serving God a space for recovery and reflection.
Our motivation is to provide each guest with a safe place where they can be refreshed and empowered to continue following their calling.
OUR TEAM

Armie Friesen
Intercultural coach, debriefer, consultant, and member care specialist
My name is Armgard Friesen. My passion lies in supporting intercultural workers who have dedicated themselves to Jesus‘ mission of making disciples around the world. Through personal support, attentive listening, and mutual reflection, I aim to offer a meaningful ministry of care.
My own calling as a missionary began in childhood. Although my dream of going to Africa or Asia as a nurse took a different path, God led me in amazing ways. After ten years of ministry in Ukraine—rich in intercultural experiences and marked by great challenges—we returned to Germany due to a serious illness my husband faced.
Re-entry was difficult and exhausting. Yet through loss and adversity, a deep love for caring for missionaries grew. Over the next ten years, we worked globally with a mission organization—mobilizing, mentoring, and training missionary candidates. These experiences now shape our Member Care work, where we offer intercultural workers a place of rest where they can simply be, reflect, feel understood, and be strengthened.
I look forward to contributing my personal skills and experiences to this important work.
